Wannock Downs WI 2024-25 Membership
For someone coming to WI for the first time we suggest you take advantage of one, two or three free meetings to help you make up your mind. We also recommend you visit several WIs to see which suits you best.
Subscriptions –
For the full year 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025 the subscription is £48.00.
If you join part-way through the year the fee may be reduced. The pro-rata subscriptions are for the first year of membership only
If you have time on your hands or are new to the area but have area been a member of another WI, you may want to join straight away as you know all about the WI. Anyone wishing to belong to two WIs pays a reduced fee to the second WI currently £23.60.

The Advantages of Membership
The WI is the largest Women’s organisation in the UK which enables it to lobby and campaign on a variety of issues of concern to our members.
Each year members receive through the post 8 editions of the colourful magazine “WI Life” from the national HQ.
Closer to home the East Sussex Federation publishes a more local magazine “East Sussex News”.
You will also receive a membership booklet which includes many discounted offers.
Make new friends, learn about the area .Social events may include going to coffee mornings at various venues, theatre, cinema, walks (with or without lunch) or afternoon tea.
Learn and pass on skills.
Take part in educational outings locally and on coach trips occasionally.
Social events can include going to the theatre, cinema, walks, lunch and/or tea out.
Transport can usually be arranged for members without a car.
All meetings have tea/coffee, biscuits or cakes, and we always do something for Christmas.
Access to restricted Members Areas on the website with resources and supportive materials.
